Ireland Set to Host 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor for Centenary Celebration
Following Europe’s dramatic triumph at Bethpage Black, the spotlight now turns to Ireland — proud hosts of the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, a milestone edition marking 100 years of golf’s most prestigious team event.
Adare Manor to Welcome Golf’s Centenary Ryder Cup
Set in the heart of County Limerick, the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor will see the world’s best golfers compete in one of the sport’s most scenic and historic settings.

The event will celebrate the centenary of the Ryder Cup, first contested in 1927, and bring the competition back to Irish soil for the first time since the K Club in 2006.
Team Europe’s stars Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy were instrumental in securing victory at Bethpage, with Lowry earning the vital half point that retained the trophy.
Their performances have further fuelled excitement for what promises to be an unforgettable Ryder Cup in Ireland.
Ireland’s Championship Pedigree
Ireland has a rich Ryder Cup history, producing notable captains such as Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley, and Darren Clarke, as well as unforgettable moments like McGinley’s winning putt in 2002 and Clarke’s emotional display at the K Club in 2006.

The island continues to play a leading role in international golf, having recently hosted the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush to widespread acclaim.
In 2026 alone, Ireland will stage several major tournaments, including the DP World Tour Amgen Irish Open at Trump Doonbeg, the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at the K Club, and the Walker Cup at Lahinch Golf Club.
With over 400 golf courses and nearly one-third of the world’s natural links, including acclaimed venues such as Ballybunion, Ballyliffin, and Royal County Down, Ireland’s credentials as a global golf destination are undeniable.
Beyond the Fairways – Ireland’s Welcome Awaits
The 2027 Ryder Cup will be as much a cultural celebration as a sporting one. Visitors can expect the warmth, charm and vibrancy that Ireland is famous for, from the rugged beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way to the heritage of Ireland’s Ancient East.
Siobhan McManamy, Tourism Ireland’s Director of Markets & Partnerships, said:
“Ireland couldn’t be more proud to have the Ryder Cup coming to its shores in 2027. The stunning setting of one of our most beautiful manor house hotels, together with the passion of the fans, makes Adare Manor a truly superb venue to showcase our golf and Ireland.”
McManamy also highlighted Ireland’s strong connectivity, with direct flights from the US, Great Britain and across Europe into Dublin, Shannon, Cork and Ireland West Airport Knock.
From championship golf and world-class hospitality to scenic drives and vibrant cities, Ireland is ready to shine on the world stage when it welcomes the Ryder Cup home in 2027.
