Wilmslow Golf Club again provided great support on and off the course as they hosted the fourth Golf Day for the Bare Necessities Charity, which provides toiletries for people in need.
There were just under 90 players, playing in teams of four, who gave great support on the day before, during, and after golf.
The charity organiser, Wendy Hobson, said: “We were blessed by good weather at a top-class venue and on the day looked to have raised in the region of £14,000.
“I would like to thank Anwyl Homes for their continuing sponsorship, the players, Wilmslow Golf Club, especially Karen and Simon, all of our volunteers, all of our donors for their prizes and the auction, and the bidders.”
The top team were Anwyl Lancs, led by Shaun Sumner, with 51 nett.
“It was also good to see the CUGC team of Andrew Henshall, David Durling, Cleve McCurdy, and Jonathan Kell putting on a good show.
“One of the stars of the show was former Manchester United footballer Wes Brown.”
