Harbor Links Leads Innovation with Robot Food Delivery on the Golf Course
Harbor Links Golf Course in North Hempstead, New York, has made history as the first golf course in the United States to introduce autonomous food and beverage delivery robots.
The initiative, a collaboration between Brooke Management Group, Robot.com (formerly known as Kiwibot), and the Town of North Hempstead, brings a technology-driven upgrade to the traditional on-course hospitality experience.
A First for U.S. Golf Courses
Launched in April 2025, the self-driving delivery robots have been operating across the Harbor Links course and driving range, offering golfers on-demand food and drink delivery without interrupting play.
Each robot unit features secure, temperature-controlled compartments, functioning as mobile refreshment stations that bring orders directly to players wherever they are on the course.
Kelley Brooke, President of Brooke Management Group, said:
“To be the first to bring robot delivery to a golf course is thrilling, and the fact that we’re launching it at Harbor Links makes it even more special.”
Technology Designed for Golf
The technology is powered by Robot.com, known for its campus delivery services and innovative automation systems. By adapting their existing technology for golf, the team created an autonomous solution tailored to the unique pace and layout of the sport.
Felipe Chavez, CEO and Founder of Robot.com, added:
“This partnership proves our robots are not just building the future, but actively transforming operations, enhancing experiences, and empowering human teams right now.”
The project reflects Robot.com’s vision for a ‘Physical World API’, where real-world environments benefit from the seamless integration of intelligent machines.
Local Support and Broader Vision
The initiative has received enthusiastic support from the local government. Town Supervisor Jennifer DeSena noted the project’s potential to put North Hempstead on the map as a leader in public-private innovation.
“We’re proud to support this forward-thinking project that not only improves guest experience but puts North Hempstead on the map as a leader in innovation.”
For Brooke Management Group, this is just the beginning.
The company has ambitious plans to modernise Harbor Links, aiming to elevate it to one of the top public golf courses in the country.
What It Means for Golfers
Golfers at Harbor Links now enjoy:
- Frictionless food and beverage delivery without leaving the tee
- Real-time ordering and fulfilment using robot-assisted service
- Increased pace of play, as players can continue their rounds uninterrupted
- A modernised hospitality experience, typically found in high-end private clubs
This marks a significant step toward integrating smart automation in the leisure and recreation sector, and a potential glimpse into the future of golf course operations.
A Glimpse of What’s to Come
With labour shortages continuing to challenge the hospitality industry, innovations like this offer a practical and scalable solution.
Harbor Links has become a living case study in how automation can improve the golfer’s experience while supporting operational efficiency.
As robotic delivery services become more familiar across industries, golf courses may increasingly look to technology not just as a novelty, but as a necessary upgrade to meet evolving expectations.
