INFINITUM Hills Course Renovation Phases

| Phase 2 | Front nine (holes 1-9) | In progress | Late 2026 |
Major Changes to Hills Course Front Nine
| Hole | Changes | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Hole | Dogleg direction reversed from left-to-right to right-to-left | Complete hole shape alteration, driving range removed |
| 1st Tee Area | New short game area with putting green and chipping area | Improved practice facilities |
| 8th Hole | Rockface façade work on green | Enhanced visual appeal and playability |
| 9th Hole | New extended tee box, redesigned green complex moved further right | Increased length and strategic challenge |
| All Fairways | Bermuda 419 grass replacement on back nine | Reduced water demand throughout year |
| All Bunkers | Zoysia grass surrounds | Reduced water and chemical consumption |
First Hole Redesign Alters Course Layout

Major work on the first hole will see the current shape altered significantly. The hole currently plays as a left-to-right dogleg. The renovation will change the layout to create a right-to-left dogleg.
According to INFINITUM, a new and improved short game area including a putting green and chipping area will be created by the first tee.
The first hole’s new layout means the current driving range and chipping area will be removed.
The changes represent a strategic shift in how the course opens. The reversed dogleg will require different shot shapes from the first tee compared to the current layout.
Ninth Hole Extensions Add Length and Challenge
Substantial changes will be made to the ninth hole. A new tee box will extend the hole’s overall length. The green complex will be redesigned and moved further right from its current position.
The repositioned green creates different approach shot angles. The extended tee box increases the hole’s challenge for longer hitters whilst maintaining playability for all skill levels.
Work will also take place on the rockface façade of the green on the eighth hole. This enhances the visual appeal of the quarry setting that defines the INFINITUM Hills course.
Sustainable Grass Implementation Reduces Water Use
In line with the resort’s commitment to sustainability, fairway grass on the back nine will be replaced with Bermuda 419. The highly drought-resistant grass reduces demand for water throughout the year.
Zoysia grass will be implemented around each bunker to cut down on water and chemical consumption.
This follows the model used in the renovation of the neighbouring Lakes course last year and on Hills front nine earlier in 2025.
Sustainability Features
| Grass Type | Application | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Bermuda 419 | Back nine fairways | Highly drought-resistant, reduced annual water demand |
| Zoysia | Bunker surrounds | Reduced water consumption, lower chemical requirements |
