Judith enjoys her first ace.
JUDITH Rose picked the perfect moment to notch her first-ever hole-in-one when she did it during a major at her home club.
The Bramhall Golf Club member aced the par-three 14th hole during President’s Day.
Judith, who was playing alongside Sue Carter and Lynn Enoch, said:
“I was delighted to get my first-ever hole-in-one. It will probably be my last too!
“It was a red flag on the green, so the distance to the hole would have been about 110 yards, and I used my eight iron off the tee.
“I hit a straight tee shot, and I knew it had pitched on the green, but that was all, as I could not see the hole.
“Sue told me that it had gone in as I was looking on the ground for my tee, but I still wasn’t totally convinced. Although I could not see my ball by the flag, I could see something white at the back of the green.
“I did suddenly get excited as we got nearer, as the white thing was clearly a feather and not my ball.
“Apparently, my delight, once we knew it was definitely in the hole, was heard by many others out on the course!
“Celebrations included a large glass of wine to share at home with my husband Andy and six bottles to share in the clubhouse with all of the gorgeous ladies at Bramhall.”
