LIV Golf South Africa to Debut at Steyn City in 2026 – A Historic First for the Continent
LIV Golf will make its highly anticipated debut on the African continent with the launch of LIV Golf South Africa, set to take place at the prestigious Steyn City in Johannesburg from March 20–22, 2026.
This landmark event marks a major expansion for the global golf league, which now spans five continents.
Set within the Kingdom of Golf’s all-South African Stinger GC team’s homeland, the three-day tournament promises to be one of LIV’s most exciting yet.
Captained by Louis Oosthuizen, the team also features fellow South African stars Charl Schwartzel, Dean Burmester, and Branden Grace.
The Club at Steyn City, designed by Nicklaus Design, offers a visually striking and tournament-ready layout, known for its immaculate fairways and dramatic setting just north of Johannesburg.
This iconic venue will now welcome 54 of the world’s best players, including global names like Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Dustin Johnson.
The tournament will feature LIV Golf’s signature blend of high-stakes team and individual competition, vibrant fan experiences, and post-round concerts. Early bird Ground Passes and Club 54 Hospitality Tickets are already available for fans eager to witness this historic event.

Backed by the South African government, including Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie, the event is positioned as a powerful driver of tourism, economic opportunity, and global visibility.
Visitors will enjoy proximity to Johannesburg’s cultural highlights and even safari experiences, with the Dinokeng Big 5 Reserve less than an hour away from Steyn City.
