James Davies Returns to Oswestry Golf Club as PGA Professional
OSWESTRY Golf Club has appointed James Davies as their new PGA Professional.
Davies, who took up the role in early January, began his PGA training at Oswestry back in 2001. He and his family are looking forward to being a part of the popular Shropshire-based club once again, having made the switch from nearby Mile End Golf Club.
“It’s great to be back. As the season progresses, the shop will begin to welcome new stock from leading brands, as well as a simulator bay for custom fitting, nearest the pin comps and more,” said Davies.
Coaching and Custom Fitting Services
He added:
“Coaching will take place in the swing room using the state-of-the-art Trackman4 simulator.
“As the season kicks off, I will be doing ‘Get into Golf’ Taster Sessions on the practice ground. It would be great if you could recommend these taster sessions to friends you would like to play golf with.”
Custom fitting for golf equipment will be central to Davies’ offer, and he’s no stranger to expert club fitting, having worked as a custom fit specialist for Mizuno and now as a TaylorMade master fitter.
Experience and Golf Travel Expertise
Over the last 25 years, James has helped members and friends organise golf trips anywhere from Celtic Manor to Pebble Beach, USA.
Oswestry chair of marketing, David Richards, said:
“Everyone at Oswestry Golf Club would like to wish James the best of luck in his new role.”
