Regent Park Golf Centre Opens No 19 The Lodge
There was a full attendance of members, guests, and friends at Regent Park Golf Centre in Bolton for the official opening of No 19 The Lodge by the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Andrew Morgan.
Robin Day, the founder and managing director of Regent Park, has spent 23 years investing in and transforming the facility.
“The new clubhouse was opened nearly two years ago after a huge investment and refurbishment, aiming to create the most modern and welcoming clubhouse in golf,” said Day.
“It has proved so popular that 5,100 local people have signed up to become social members in under two years.
“No 19 The Lodge is a further investment as an events and wedding venue with its own entrance and lobby. It also features a beautiful private room and bar and its own private enclosed south-facing terrace overlooking the 18th green.”
A major investment in Bolton’s golfing community
The most recent investments in No 19 The Clubhouse and No 19 The Lodge have cost around £1.5 million, bringing the total investment in Regent Park Golf Centre to over £4 million.
“I would like to give a big thank you to all of the team at Regent Park and a special thank you to my oldest friend and long-time business supporter Mark Horrocks for his significant financial input to both The Clubhouse and Lodge,” said Day.
“At Regent Park, we are committed to modernising and growing the game and making golf as accessible and appealing to as many people as possible.”
Future expansion plans at Regent Park Golf Centre
Regent Park Golf Centre has secured planning permission for an 18-hole Adventure Golf Course, which will be the next investment aimed at introducing even more people to golf.
“We will aim to introduce even more people into golf and to Regent Park,” said Day.
The continued development of the golf centre ensures it remains one of the most inclusive and innovative golf facilities in the region.
