Otto AI Launches to Deliver Personalised Golf Performance Insights
Golf tech brand Hole19 has announced the launch of Otto AI, a new artificial intelligence feature designed to transform round data into personalised, actionable insights.
Aimed at helping golfers of all levels improve more efficiently, Otto AI builds on Hole19’s position as one of the most widely used golf apps globally, with over 5 million users in 195 countries.
From Data to Development

While many golf apps offer shot tracking and statistics, Hole19 identified a gap between data collection and meaningful improvement. Otto AI addresses this by analysing round data to identify patterns, benchmark performance, and recommend specific areas of practice.
Anthony Douglas, CEO and Founder of Hole19, said:
“We’ve tested this functionality over the past few months and refined the model to deliver the most useful and actionable insights possible. Otto AI reflects our focus on helping golfers go beyond scorekeeping, offering real understanding of their game.”
Integrated with CORE Golf
Otto AI is fully integrated with CORE Golf, Hole19’s sister app and one of the leading practice tools in the market.
Once Otto AI highlights areas for improvement—such as short game accuracy or tee shot dispersion—CORE Golf provides tailored drills and routines to work on those skills, either on the range or at home.
Key Features of Otto AI
- Smart Analysis
Otto AI examines subtle performance trends across rounds, such as club selection, scoring patterns, and weather-related performance—insights that are often missed by manual review. - Handicap Benchmarking
The feature compares a golfer’s performance with others of similar skill, providing helpful context around whether particular challenges are typical or unique. - Detailed Performance Breakdown
Key areas such as driving accuracy, approach play, and putting are broken down into simple, metric-based reports. - Targeted Practice Recommendations
Otto AI identifies two or three focus areas for each user, linking directly to specific drills in CORE Golf. - Flexible Feedback Options
Users can choose between concise summaries or deeper trend reports, depending on their preferences. - Adaptive AI
The system learns over time, using each logged round to enhance the quality of its future recommendations.
User Feedback from Beta Testing
Otto AI was tested by a large group of users prior to launch. Brett R., a 12-handicap golfer from California, said:
“I used to copy my stats into ChatGPT after every round to try and get insights. Otto AI now does that better and more efficiently—it’s a real step forward.”
Availability and Pricing
Otto AI is available now through the Hole19 app for iOS, with Android to follow. Users can purchase analysis report packs in bundles of 5, 10 or 25.
- Free users: From £4.70 per report
- Premium subscribers: From £2.35 per report
Each report analyses one round and includes tailored recommendations designed to shape practice sessions in the weeks that follow.
With increasing interest in data-driven performance tools, Otto AI represents a shift from basic GPS and scoring apps toward personalised coaching-level insights.
By pairing smart analysis with practical drills, Hole19 aims to offer golfers a more complete path to improvement.
