PGA TOUR Confirms 2026 Return to Iconic Doral Course
The Miami Championship 2026 will mark a major return to the PGA TOUR calendar for one of golf’s most iconic venues: Trump National Doral.
Scheduled for 30 April to 3 May, the event has been confirmed as a Signature Event, boasting a $20 million purse and drawing the world’s best players back to the legendary Blue Monster layout.
Trump National Doral has a storied place in PGA TOUR history, having hosted events annually from 1962 to 2016.
Its return in 2026 will mark the 56th TOUR-sanctioned event held at the Miami property, which has seen 14 World Golf Hall of Famers claim victory on its fairways.
Chief among them is Tiger Woods, whose four titles at Doral stand out, with Adam Scott the last to lift a trophy there in 2016.
Jordan Uppleger, Vice President of PGA TOUR Events, welcomed the return:
“The opportunity to return to Trump National Doral was one we were excited to pursue given the PGA TOUR’s rich history of hosting events on the Blue Monster.”
A Return to a ‘Legendary’ Venue
Owned by The Trump Organization, Doral’s Blue Monster course has long been regarded as a stern championship test.
Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, said:
“Trump National Doral is one of the most iconic golf destinations in the world… every inch of this property is built for championship golf.”
The Blue Monster joins an exclusive club of courses that have hosted PGA TOUR events for over five decades, including Pebble Beach, Riviera, and Augusta National.
Local officials were quick to welcome the TOUR’s return to Doral. Christi Fraga, Mayor of the City of Doral, highlighted the wider community impact:
“This event will not only bring world-class competition to our city but also generate significant economic and charitable impact for our community.”
Florida will be a hub for professional golf in 2026, with five PGA TOUR events scheduled – the highest number since 2021.
The Miami Championship will be the second Florida stop that season, following the Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens (23 Feb–1 Mar).
