Cambodia’s Vattanac Golf Resort Honoured by AGIF 2025
Vattanac Golf Resort has received the Distinguished Contribution to Growing the Game award at the Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Industry Awards 2025.
The ceremony took place on 29 October 2025 in recognition of the resort’s efforts to develop golf across Asia.
The Vattanac Golf Resort award acknowledges the Phnom Penh venue’s work in youth development, community programmes, and hosting international tournaments.
Damian McHugh, General Manager, accepted the honour on behalf of the resort’s team.
Legends Tour Championship Confirms Resort Status
The recognition arrives as Vattanac Golf Resort prepares to host the Vattanac Legends Championship. The Legends Tour selected the venue based on its standing as the most awarded golf club in Asia.
The resort features two championship courses designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Both layouts are managed by Troon Golf and incorporate elements of Khmer cultural heritage into their design.
The facility includes a driving range, practice areas, and clubhouse facilities.
Award Reflects Development Work
The Asian Golf Industry Federation presents annual awards to organisations advancing golf participation and sustainability across the region. This year’s ceremony recognised Vattanac Golf Resort for its programmes targeting multiple levels of the sport.

Damian McHugh noted the award reflects efforts across youth development and tournament hosting. He stated the Legends Tour’s venue selection demonstrates the resort’s championship design and playing experience.
