PGA Aroeira Lisboa Set for €200M Luxury Makeover with Missoni Real Estate Project
Portugal’s only PGA National venue, PGA Aroeira Lisboa, is poised for a spectacular transformation, announcing a partnership with world-renowned Italian fashion house Missoni to launch “Aroeira Collections by Missoni.”
This exclusive €200 million residential and tourist project is set to further elevate the golf and lifestyle experience at the iconic Lisbon resort.
Key Takeaways
- Major Investment: PGA Aroeira Lisboa, Portugal’s only PGA National venue, is launching a €200M real estate project, “Aroeira Collections by Missoni,” in partnership with the iconic Italian fashion house.
- Luxury Living & Hotel: The project includes a 138-apartment hotel, 40 apartments, 24 properties, and 28 villas, alongside a future new clubhouse, all designed with Missoni’s flair.
- Course Enhancements: This comes alongside significant upgrades to its two championship courses: PGA Aroeira No. 1 (Frank Pennink design, renovated 2024) and PGA Aroeira No. 2 (Donald Steel design, upgrading this summer).
- Sustainable Development: The project emphasizes sustainability with state-of-the-art irrigation, drought-resistant grass, and eco-friendly landscaping, aiming for completion by 2027.
Marking Missoni’s first real estate venture in Portugal, the ambitious development is scheduled for completion by 2027. This exciting news comes amidst a period of significant investment at PGA Aroeira Lisboa, which also includes comprehensive upgrades to its two revered 18-hole golf courses.
At the heart of the project is the Aroeira Collections Hotel, designed to welcome both residents and visitors with 138 stylish one and two-bedroom apartments.
The hotel will be centrally located between the resort’s two championship layouts – PGA Aroeira No. 1 and PGA Aroeira No. 2 – and future plans also incorporate the construction of a brand-new clubhouse.
Beyond the hotel, the development will feature 40 two and three-bedroom apartments, 24 properties ranging from two to four bedrooms, and 28 luxurious villas offering three to five-bedroom options.
This major undertaking is anticipated to provide a significant boost for Portuguese tourism and the local economy.
This project solidifies Aroeira’s position at the forefront of Portuguese golf. The enhancement journey began in 2024 with the full renovation of the historic PGA Aroeira No. 1 course, originally designed by Frank Pennink.
This summer will see upgrades to PGA Aroeira No. 2 – a Donald Steel creation celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and a former host of the Ladies European Tour – with works including all tee boxes and bunkers.

Sustainability is a core commitment, with the installation of state-of-the-art irrigation systems and the use of drought-resistant Bermuda grass across the 36-hole complex to drastically reduce water consumption.
The real estate project mirrors this ethos, utilising endemic plant species in landscaping and avoiding the introduction of new earth, fully embracing ESG principles.
Nuno Sepulveda, co-CEO at Details – Sports, Hospitality, Leisure, PGA Aroeira Lisboa’s management company, said:
“This development continues the transformation of PGA Aroeira Lisboa which began with the significant course renovations. It is an incredibly exciting time for all involved and the project will take the golf and resort experience to a new level of elegance, comfort and excellence.”
Residents will also enjoy access to a health centre, two swimming pools, tennis and padel courts, a restaurant, a children’s play area, and 24-hour reception, ensuring a complete and elevated lifestyle on the beautiful Costa da Caparica.
The development is a collaborative effort with Norfin SGOIC, a leading real estate investment management company in Portugal. The sales launch for Aroeira Collections by Missoni began in May 2025, with construction due to start later this year. The hotel is expected to be completed by 2027.
