Reintroducing the popular Adizero franchise to golf, this new spikeless shoe is designed to be “light all round,” offering a sleek, lightweight solution packed with technology.
Recognising that core golfers can spend over 160 hours a year on their feet, adidas engineered the Adizero ZG to provide stability, traction, and comfort without the weight, helping players stay fresh through the 18th hole and beyond.
“A golfer’s feet and footwear are extremely critical to not only the swing but also their overall enjoyment of the round,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf.
“Adizero ZG represents the next step on our journey to provide golfers with a lightweight option that has technology specifically focused on tackling those important areas like traction, stability and comfort, all in a spikeless silhouette.”
Technology for Performance

The Adizero ZG introduces key innovations designed to work from the ground up:
- Lightweight Traction: A new SPIKEMORE outsole features lightweight undercut lugs around the perimeter for increased lateral stability and adaptive traction that reacts to the terrain. A secondary cone-shaped system helps you feel flat on uneven ground and prevents clogging.
- Lightweight Comfort: The midsole combines adidas’s responsive LIGHTSTRIKE and LIGHTSTRIKE PRO cushioning, keeping you comfortable and low to the ground. This is complemented by an INSITE™ 2.0 sockliner and a running-inspired molded heel cushion for a softer, better fit.
- Dynamic Motion: A newly designed DYNAMIC TORSION plate extends through the outsole to aid with rebound, prevent rollover, and limit power leak in the follow-through. It also provides crucial arch support to promote a smooth walking gait and reduce fatigue.
The waterproof upper is made from adidas’s premium multi-layer SPRINTSKIN material, providing an adaptive and athletic look while remaining lightweight. A heel clip is also integrated to deliver a locked-in, stable feel.
Endorsed by adidas athlete Ludvig Åberg, the shoe has received high praise. “I was especially impressed with how well it helps with traction and stability while still being so comfortable and lightweight,” said Åberg. “It’s another example of how the adidas team continues to lead in footwear design for all golfers.”
The Adizero ZG range is available in a variety of colourways. For those seeking a more customised fit, a BOA model offers a PRIMEKNIT sock-like construction with a micro-adjustable Li2 dial for precise adjustments. Junior models are also available on adidas.com, the adidas app and at select retailers worldwide.
