TaylorMade Spider ZT Putter Combines High MOI with Toe-Up Stability
TaylorMade has introduced the latest member of its Spider putter family, the Spider Zero Torque (ZT), aimed at helping golfers of all abilities improve their putting consistency and stability.
Featuring a new toe-up balance and multi-material construction, the Spider ZT is available from 19 June.
Engineered for Stability and Control
TaylorMade’s Spider ZT putter continues the company’s focus on high moment of inertia (MOI) performance, which has been a hallmark of the Spider line since 2008.
The Spider ZT combines 100% milled multi-material construction, extreme perimeter weighting, and a toe-up or “face-forward” balance.
This design is intended to keep the putter face squarer to the target throughout the stroke, reducing the need for hand manipulation and promoting a consistent roll.
The putter uses high-density 303 stainless steel in the face and lightweight 6061 aluminium in the back, helping to achieve strategic weight placement.
Three TSS weights work together to maintain a stable centre of gravity (CG) that supports the toe-up orientation. The CG is placed 25mm behind the face, with a 1° onset shaft bore, which helps the shaft lean slightly forward at address and minimises face twisting through impact.
A cambered sole supports a wide range of player styles, making it easier to set the putter square at address. The familiar True Path™ alignment system has been refined with thinly milled lines that match the width of a golf ball, aiding centering and reducing mishits.
Modern Looks with Proven Technology

In line with its performance upgrades, the Spider ZT also introduces fresh visual touches.
The anodised blue sole features the Spider logo and distinctive dot markings to identify standard (one dot), counterbalance (two dots), and long (three dots) putter models.
The headcover design is updated with a bold black spider motif and a TaylorMade logo on the magnetic flap.
Spider ZT models come in three categories: standard length (33–35 inches) at £449, counterbalance (36–38 inches) at £499, and long putter (46 inches) at £549.
Stock shafts include the KBS CT Putter 120 Stepless Black and KBS GPS Custom Graphite options, paired with SuperStroke grips to match each model.
The familiar Pure Roll™ insert, combining Surlyn and aluminium with 45° angled grooves, helps produce a forward roll while improving feel and sound.
Tour validation has already been positive, with a PGA TOUR win recorded and LPGA star Haeran Ryu using the Spider ZT in her victory at the Black Desert Championship earlier this year.
