Titleist Expands T-Series with New T250•U and U•505 Utility Irons
Titleist has completed its updated T-Series iron family with the launch of the new T250•U and U•505 utility irons, each engineered to offer golfers greater control, distance, and consistency from the top end of the bag.
Designed to support a wide range of setups, the new utilities provide strong performance off the tee and from the fairway, delivering high launch, reliable ball speed and enhanced stability.
Designed for Precision and Versatility
While each model suits a slightly different player profile, both utilities have been developed to produce dependable distances, optimised trajectories and ease of launch—key attributes for modern long iron replacements.
“Utilities serve a specific role in the bag,” explains Marni Ines, Titleist’s Director of Iron Development. “Our goal was to create options that launch high, fly consistently and allow players to confidently hit and hold greens. That’s what the new T250•U and U•505 deliver.”
T250•U Utility Iron

The T250•U mirrors the shaping and loft progression of the standard T250 irons, offering a compact profile preferred by confident ball strikers.
- Lofts available: 18° (2-iron), 20° (3-iron), 22° (4-iron)
- Construction: Forged L-Face insert, hollow body with split tungsten weighting
- Performance: Mid-to-high launch, consistent speed, tighter dispersion
This model is well suited to players seeking a long iron replacement that offers both forgiveness and workability, while blending seamlessly into a T-Series set.
U•505 Utility Iron
The new U•505 maintains its status as Titleist’s higher-launching utility option. It now features progressive shaping, with a wider sole in the stronger-lofted models and taller face profiles in the higher-lofted options, offering better visual confidence and forgiveness.
- Lofts available: 16° (1-iron), 18° (2-iron), 20° (3-iron), 22° (4-iron)
- Construction: Hollow-body design, forged L-Face insert, enhanced Max Impact 2.0
- Performance: High launch, higher MOI, improved consistency across the face
This generation takes inspiration from Tour feedback—particularly from prototype long irons used by Titleist staff players—and aims to deliver launch stability with a more refined shape.
Technology Across Both Models

Both utility irons feature:
- Forged L-Face Technology for improved ball speed and launch
- Split tungsten weighting for optimised CG placement and added forgiveness
- Max Impact 2.0 to ensure speed and consistency across the face
- Parallel tip hosel to accommodate hybrid shafts and allow fitting flexibility
- Player-preferred offset for easy blending with other T-Series irons
Tour Validation
Titleist continues to lead in utility iron usage on the PGA Tour, with over 60% of players opting for Titleist utilities so far in 2025. Early adopters of the new models include:
- Tom Hoge – T250 3-iron
