MNDriveathon5000 Raises Over £3,000 for MND at Trafford Golf Centre
Trafford Golf Centre played host to an incredible community effort on Saturday 21st June, as local families, friends, and golf enthusiasts united to take part in the MNDriveathon5000 challenge.
The event raised much-needed funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), supporting Anna Barrow in her ongoing battle with the disease.
Throughout the day, participants took on the challenge of hitting 5,000 golf balls to represent the 5,000 individuals living with MND in the UK.
Martyn Barrow, Anna’s husband, expressed his gratitude:
The support we received from the Trafford Golf Centre community has been absolutely amazing.
“It’s a humbling experience to see so many people come together, not just to support Anna but to help raise awareness for MND.
“This event means so much to our family, and the funds raised will make a real difference.”
The funds raised from the MNDriveathon5000 will help Anna, mum of three, with the increased cost of personal care and contribute towards providing an accessible vehicle to support her mobility and other individuals in a similar situation.
The day’s efforts have already made a lasting impact, strengthening local awareness of MND.

Thanks to the generosity of those who took part and donated, over £3,000 was raised, which will go directly to supporting Anna’s needs and the vital work of the MND Association.
The Barrow family’s determination and strength throughout Anna’s diagnosis have been a driving force behind this event, and they continue to inspire others in their fight against MND.
