Denton’s Young Star Eva Shines on Her Birthday
Denton Golf Club’s Eva Morgan celebrated her 12th birthday weekend in style by winning a Lancashire Junior Girls competition.
The event, held at Formby Ladies Golf Club, was the Lancashire County Girls Anniversary Stableford for handicaps 18 to 36.
Playing off a handicap of 23, Eva was in top form, securing an impressive 41 points to clinch the win.
Her dad, Craig, shared: “She started playing when she was nine years old after I decided to try golf. She soon got better than me and is always asking to practice and develop her game.”
Craig added: “Denton has helped her progress with junior coaching and weekly competitions. She also benefits from monthly coaching through the Lancashire County Girls development squad.”
Eva’s goals are ambitious yet achievable. She aims to reach a single-figure handicap within the next year and ultimately hopes to achieve scratch status.
